Alcoholic perfumes
It exists three types of perfumes There are two different types: alcoholic perfumes, oily perfumes, and solid perfumes. Alcoholic perfumes have the liquid final appearance that you're probably familiar with, and are known as "juices" for those in the know. Juices are actually a mixture of water and alcohol. The alcohol used in alcoholic perfumes is ethyl alcohol, which is olfactorily neutral and effectively dilutes the scent concentrate.
It also provides an immediate sensation of freshness, from the first application, whatever the its olfactory family . It is invigorating and it is thanks to it that perfuming ourselves remains one of our favorite daily gestures. Upon application, due to its volatile nature, the alcohol evaporates. As for the perfume, it fixes correctly on the skin, in order to release its aromas throughout the day. However, it remains necessary to Know how to apply your perfume ! Alcohol also allows for excellent preservation of the perfume over time. This is why alcoholic perfumes have a shelf life of several years.
Oily perfumes
Another type of perfume, less common than alcoholic perfumes, is the oily perfume. Here, oil is used as the composition carrier, generally sweet almond, sesame, or wheat germ oil. This is the ideal perfume for very dry and ultra-sensitive skin, as it will act as a real moisturizer. It is dry to the touch, which is appreciable. The only problem with this type of perfume is its olfactory panel. Indeed, the list of olfactory components that blend uniformly with the oil is limited, so the same goes for the olfactory field of oily perfumes. This is why, at Bon Parfumeur, Our perfumers , who were free to choose the composition of the products, did not retain oily perfumes.
At Bon Parfumeur, we have opted for more common, exclusively alcoholic eaux de parfum, which offer a wide range of olfactory creations. Our eaux de parfum are available in three formats: travel size (15 mL), 30 mL and 100 mL. More recently, we have also been working on solid perfumes available in the form of scented candles offered in two formats: 70 g and 180 g, scented soap bars and scented hand creams. We can also distinguish the different perfume families among our 28 fragrances.
Solid perfumes
Finally, there are solid perfumes. Solid perfumes have a rather unusual form, as they do not come in the form of "juice," and cannot be inserted into a bottle. They come in the form of wax, oil, or vegetable butter. Solid perfume exists both for the skin and for the home. For the skin, it is applied in the form of a very rich compact balm. Its best-known form is wax, which is widely used for Scented candles. Solid fragrances adhere better to the skin and provide a continuous release when used in candles: a truly delicate and indulgent treat that lasts and lasts.
