For a few days, we visited 3 perfumers - Jacques and Carla Chabert and Nathalie Koobus - in the heart of the Alpes-Maritimes, in Mouans-Sartoux! Jacques took us under his wing and we embarked on an adventure - towards the mimosas!
After a few steep and hilly roads, the treetops parted, and the dazzling yellow was revealed to us. Super bright with an intensely vibrant scent! In the car, we rolled down the windows and took in all the sights and smells. After 10 stops to take pictures (it was too beautiful to resist...) we arrived at Tanneron. We found ourselves perched on the trees, cutting branches of bright yellow to bring back with us to Paris.
Its smell is ultra-delicate, powdery, floral, warm and rich, with honeyed notes. Pure happiness !
Nathalie Koobus, the perfumer of 102 was waiting for us in Mouans-Sartoux. She explained to us that she had always been moved by these flowers and that her inspiration for the 102 came directly from this valley! Obviously, it’s the mimosa from the South of France that she has highlighted in this special perfume. For her, these brilliant blossoms announce the coming of beautiful days.
